Join this machine sewing workshop in London and discover the fundamentals of machine sewing in a warm, supportive environment. It's the perfect, low-pressure way to build your confidence and finally get to grips with the basics. Whether you're a complete beginner or a new machine owner looking for a friendly place to start, you'll feel completely at ease with clear demonstrations and plenty of hands-on practice.
During this two-hour session, you'll cover all the essentials step-by-step, with texturing and stitching exercises designed to get you comfortable with your machine.
During the class, you'll:
  • Learn the parts and functions – Get to know your sewing machine inside and out so you understand how it works.
  • Master threading and bobbins – Discover how to correctly thread the machine and wind a bobbin.
  • Set up and troubleshoot – Learn basic machine setup and how to handle simple troubleshooting.
  • Practise stitches and fabric handling – Gain control over your sewing speed while learning to sew straight lines and simple seams.
  • Discover essential supplies – Get expert tips on machine care, maintenance, and the core tools you'll need at home.
This empowering experience takes the guesswork out of sewing, replacing any beginner anxiety with genuine excitement. Please note: Please bring along your sewing machine and power cord, as well as the sewing machine manual if you have it. A notebook and pen are also recommended. Practice fabric and all other necessary materials are fully included.
